Do we have to replace our legacy systems?

Answer

Not necessarily. A system that does its job and can be connected may stay. A change only becomes sensible when running it grows disproportionately expensive, security updates are no longer issued, or the business requirement can no longer be represented.

If the decision falls in favour of a change, we plan it in stages: first data migration and parallel operation, then switching individual areas, and finally shutdown. The aim is a changeover without interrupting daily business.
