DDG
Abbreviation for Digitale-Dienste-Gesetz
In short and in plain language
The DDG is a German law on digital services.
It says what details firms must show on their website. This is mostly on the legal notice page.
If a firm has a sales tax number or a business number, it must go there too.
Definition
The DDG is the German Digital Services Act. Among other things, it sets out which information providers of commercial digital services must keep easily recognisable and permanently available, for example in the legal notice of a website. Providers who hold a VAT identification number or a business identification number (W-IdNr.) state that number under Section 5(1) no. 6 DDG.
