risk assessment

In short and in plain language

A risk assessment is a check of the dangers at a place of work.

It also looks for ways to protect people from them.

It shows, for example, which briefings a job needs. It also shows if a visit to a work doctor is needed.

Definition
A risk assessment is a systematic review of the hazards at a workplace or in an activity. It also identifies protective measures against them. German occupational safety law names it as a task of the employer. It shows, for example, which safety briefings and which occupational health checks a role needs.
